Welcome To WIS Senior Section

Our Senior Section (Grade 8 – Grade 12) encourages students to engage, invent, manage and compete – equipping them for success in the qualifying examinations under Cambridge Assessments and International Education (CAIE). The curriculum therefore focuses on student-centered learning using appropriate teaching and learning strategies such as group and cooperative learning. Problem solving strategies and higher level thinking skills are consistently emphasised on during the student’s learning experience.

Students at this stage are counseled by a separate counselor for the selection of their subjects, aiming specifically towards their aspirations for tertiary education and subsequent career. The students study under an expert and experienced pool of veteran teachers and groomed towards achieving grades that reflect their potential while ensuring lifelong learning and knowledge.

The School applies an integrated learning approach at the Primary level with a gradual focus on individual subjects at the Secondary level. In line with the CAIE requirements, the curriculum is subject-focused at the Secondary level, leading to the CIE IGCSE/O Level and Cambridge International A level examinations. The Cambridge International Advanced Subsidiary Levels (AS Levels) and Cambridge International Advanced Levels (A Levels) are subject-based qualifications usually taken in the final two years of high school.
